This pattern is inspired by findings from Skjoldehamn on the Norwegian island Angoya. These hoods were predicted to have been worn by both men and women during the Viking Age to protect them from the cold harsh elements and provide extra insulation. They can be worn above or underneath any tunic, serk or cloak. They also make the perfect shield from the sun or snow during archery or something as simple as winter walks.
This listing is for a linen or wool hood WITH your choice of trim! Trim will be featured on the bottom edge of the hood along the front and back. For no trim refer to the regular hood listings.
You have 7 different trim options - please refer to photo and select corresponding number from drop down. Contact me with any questions.
